Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-05-02

This Privacy Policy applies to 닐투데브 (NilToDev) (“we”, “our”, “us”) and to every application and service we publish, including DotEmber (”.Ember”). NilToDev is a personal software studio operated by NilToDev.

Plain-English summary. We do not run servers that store your data. The apps we ship work locally on your device. The website you are reading uses cookieless analytics. We do not sell, share, or monetize personal information.

Scope

This policy covers:

  • The website at https://niltodev.com and any sub-paths (e.g., /dotember, /blog, /ko/...).
  • Every native application we publish on app stores or as a direct download (collectively, “the apps”). At the time of writing, the only such app is DotEmber.

App-specific addenda — refund handling, App Store interactions, in-app purchase rules — appear at the bottom of each app’s Q&A page (for example, /dotember/qna#refund-policy).

Information we collect

From the website

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless). Aggregate page-view counts, referrer host, and browser/OS family. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no visitor IDs. Cloudflare’s privacy notice: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
  • Standard server logs at the hosting layer (Cloudflare Pages): request IP, User-Agent, response code — retained per Cloudflare’s policy. We do not export, copy, or analyze these logs.

We do not use:

  • Cookies for analytics, tracking, or advertising.
  • Third-party trackers (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ad networks).
  • Email-list signup forms or newsletter tooling.

From the apps

Our apps are local-first software. We collect nothing on a server we operate. Specifically:

  • No accounts. There is no NilToDev account system; nothing to sign up for.
  • No telemetry. The apps do not send usage metrics, crash reports, or diagnostic data to us.
  • No content uploads. Anything you write or create stays on your device (or in iCloud Drive / a folder you choose).

The operating system or the app store you bought through (typically Apple) collects diagnostic and purchase information per its own policies — see https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

How we use information

Because we collect no personal information server-side, there is no secondary use, profiling, sale, or sharing to disclose. Aggregate analytics inform decisions about which pages to keep, expand, or retire.

Your rights

If you are in a region with statutory data-protection rights (EEA, UK, California, the Republic of Korea, etc.):

  • Access / portability. Since we hold no personal data about individuals, there is generally nothing to export. If you believe we hold data that pertains to you, contact us via the address below.
  • Erasure / right to be forgotten. Same applicability — typically there is nothing to erase. We respond to verifiable requests within the period required by your local law.
  • Objection / opt-out. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and inherently aggregate. There is no opt-in/out toggle; using a content blocker that suppresses third-party scripts will block it.

Children’s privacy

The website and apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age threshold set by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

International users

NilToDev is operated from [country / region]. The website is served by Cloudflare’s global edge network, so content may be delivered from a server geographically near you. We do not transfer personal data internationally because, as described above, we do not collect personal data server-side.

Changes to this policy

When we make material changes, the lastUpdated date at the top of this page changes and the relevant section notes what changed. The full revision history of this document lives in the public git repository for the website.
